"Rediscover the Joy of Learning"
DISCOVER ..... DISCUSS ..... CONNECT .....
The Bernard Osher Foundation recently gave a major grant to support the lifelong learning programs at the university. In recognition of this generous gift and participation within the 115 institutional member network of Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes across the country, the UC Board of Trustees authorized renaming the ILE to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Cincinnati. For a copy of the press release click here. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Cincinnati, or OLLI, is one of the oldest, largest, and most successful programs for active adults in the U.S. - founded, staffed and taught by volunteers, with the support of a small office staff. OLLI offers on average 100 courses each quarter led by expert teachers in a relaxed, informal environment - and no need to worry about tests or grades. Classes meet at UC's main campus, Raymond Walters College, Temple Sholom and other convenient suburban locations; they are open to everyone aged fifty and above. For a single $75 payment for each eight-week quarter, take as many classes as you like from the wide assortment of lectures, seminars, field trips and special events. Most classes meet weekly for 90 minutes. |
